I was the events intern for the Brookings Institution, a leading think tank in the heart of Washington, D.C. I worked full-time (40+ hours a week) helping to plan panels and lectures at Brookings. Some favorite speakers of mine were Madeleine Albright,  Susan Glasser and Glenn Thrush. I also pitched to the Brookings Blog.

The force behind the Forces: New survey data on American military families

My Role

Because of Brookings policy, interns are not allowed to be named as authors for blog posts, even if they wrote a post in its entirety. They are instead listed as "contributors" at the end of the page. In my case, I reported and wrote this blog post. It was lightly edited by Amanda Waldron, and therefore, is under her name.
